Yellowstone spin-off actor reveals she died for three minutes when she had COVID-19

Danielle Vasinova, an Emmy Award-nominated actor, disclosed that five years ago, while fighting COVID, she passed away for three minutes.

The 42-year-old actor, who was recently revealed as the newest cast member to join the Yellowstone spin-off series, spoke with People in an interview that was published on Thursday, December 19.

At first, Vasinova believed she was ill with the flu. The United States hadn't implemented lockdowns at the time, and not much was known about the Covid-19 virus, much less how serious it was.

"They diagnosed me with strep when I went to urgent care in downtown [Los Angeles] and sent me home with some antibiotics." However, I was barely able to walk by the following day. I was unable to move my legs. "It was weird," Vasinona remembered.

That same night, at around two in the morning, the 1923 star was taken to the emergency room by her uncle. She acknowledged, "I felt like I was going to die."

The commotion in the ER seemed like something from a movie, according to her uncle. According to Vasinova, "he said that while people were running around me, a little girl jumped on top of my chest and started pumping, pumping, pumping."

She was without a pulse for three minutes. Fortunately, Vasinova's heart could be restarted by the emergency room nurse, who she later learned was named Ruby, before she was placed in an induced coma and transferred to the intensive care unit.
