precise location As you know, your weather app predicts local and global weather trends well. Traveling? Simply change the location to a different city, state, or country.
But activating “precise location” on your iPhone's weather app gives it another incredible power: it can alert you of a heavy rain or snow shower. You can take refuge or prepare after receiving the signal to avoid being surprised.
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Weather to use this helpful phone feature. Tap “Always” then “Precise Location.” Return to Weather app.
Tap the bottom-right menu icon and select Notifications. You can choose Severe Weather or Next-Hour Precipitation under “Current Location”. To receive more current rain and snow notifications and severe weather updates like flooding, tornadoes, and more, toggle both on.
