Shedeur Sanders passes on draft

Two top NFL Draft prospects live in Boulder, Colorado. QB Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter are anticipated to go in the first round for the Colorado Buffaloes.

Each star might go first overall to the Tennessee Titans or whoever they trade the pick to. The NFL won't like a new twist.

The league enjoys broadcasting first-round picks being picked and shaking Commissioner Roger Goodell's hand as they cross the stage. The draft is always big, so televising it helps the league sell offseason ads.

So Goodell won't like the Buffs' stars' purported devaluation of the event. “Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter will not attend the NFL draft, instead participating in public draft-day party in Boulder,” Pro Football Talk reported Wednesday night.

The announcement sparked social media reactions. “Will they attend the NFL if drafted? One admirer tweeted, "Perhaps they will just release weekly YouTube videos of them playing catch to show everyone they could be really good if they played in the NFL." The pair's decision apparently upset him.

No doubt, they won't be there. They must create headlines and garner media publicity in Colorado. My opinion: bad move. Share it with your community but attend the draft, one fan said.

“I really hope they stay on the board until late in the 1st round and even into the 2nd round..and keep the TV cameras on their faces..it will break the sports internet,” one fan said.

To be honest, neither should be top 10, but clubs are eager for any spark or owners just want to grab seats in the stands off those 2 names, so they'll be mid-average. “I’m not a hater, I just live in reality,” another fan said.
