Chiefs projected to pursue Vikings $54 million free agent star

The Kansas City Chiefs will try to improve their roster in the upcoming summer, regardless of whether they can win the Super Bowl for the third time in a row this season.

The Chiefs have a clear path to the Super Bowl. Kansas City is the No. 1 seed in the AFC and has won two consecutive titles. The Chiefs have a good chance of winning the Super Bowl again this season, and they will probably be a preferred destination for free agents in the future.

Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report suggested Minnesota Vikings Cam Robinson as a potential free agency fit for Kansas City, which has been searching for ways to strengthen the offensive line.

"Starting-caliber left tackles will always hold value in free agency," Knox stated. "The Vikings have benefited greatly from the addition of Cam Robinson, who they acquired in an in-season trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The 29-year-old was acquired by Minnesota after Christian Darrisaw suffered a knee injury that ended his season. Since joining the Vikings, Robinson has maintained the starting position and done a fantastic job.

"Considering their recent failure to find a long-term solution at left tackle, the Chiefs ought to be interested in Robinson. If they can somehow locate the cap room, the Cleveland Browns ought to be interested as well.

But Cleveland is expected to exceed the threshold by $21.7 million. The Cleveland Browns and the Kansas City Chiefs are possible suitors.

Robinson will be a free agency this summer after agreeing to a three-year, $54 million contract. He was listed as the 19th-best player available on the open market by Bleacher Report. He might be a suitable choice to keep Patrick Mahomes safe.
