The Colorado Buffaloes' offense will take on a new look in 2025.
Along with losing four key wide receivers to the NFL, including two-way star Travis Hunter, the team will also be without quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Shedeur Sanders is a strong contender for the first overall pick in the April NFL draft, leaving head coach Deion Sanders to find a replacement.
The Buffs recently signed Julian Lewis, a four-star quarterback and one of the top recruits in the class of 2025.
Then, on Wednesday, On3 Sports' Pete Nakos reported that Colorado had received a major commitment from quarterback Kaidon Salter.
"Liberty quarterback Kaidon Salter has signed with Colorado, @On3sports has learned," Nakos reported.
Salter joins Colorado from the Liberty Flames, where he spent four seasons after beginning his college career with the Tennessee Volunteers.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound quarterback has 5,887 yards, 56 touchdowns, and six interceptions in his career. In 2024, he passed for 1,886 yards, 15 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
Salter and Lewis will compete for the starting quarterback position, with Salter likely having the advantage as an upperclassman. Meanwhile, Lewis will be a true freshmen.
The Cedar Hill, Texas native will have another season of eligibility.
