Conor McGregor signs to box Logan Paul

Following years of conjecture, Conor McGregor may face an extremely unlikely opponent in a boxing ring when he returns to combat sports.

After suffering a terrible leg break against Dustin Poirier on July 10, 2021, the Irishman is getting close to spending four years out of commission. Numerous rumors about his return have since surfaced, and this latest report adds to the long list of possible comeback bouts for the UFC star.

Conor McGregor revealed his next opponent on social media, ending any discussion about a fight with Ilia Topuria.

Before preparing for his UFC comeback, McGregor claims he has signed a contract to fight Logan Paul in an exhibition bout in India.

"The rumors of a bout with [Ilia Topuria] are false," McGregor declared. "I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India."

I concurred. After that, I'll try to get back to the octagon." If you find it odd enough that a disgruntled Conor McGregor would face WWE superstar Logan Paul in a boxing ring, you'll find it even stranger when McGregor declares himself the underdog in the betting.

Upon learning that 'The Notorious' might make a comeback to face Logan Paul, SportsBetting.ag established a line for the fight.

The sportsbook set McGregor as a +120 underdog, while his opponent is currently a -150 favorite, in part because of Conor McGregor's lack of activity and Paul's size advantage.

He will face a difficult opponent in McGregor, but Logan Paul has experience taking on MMA fighters.

Before declaring his retirement from boxing, the YouTuber defeated the contentious Dillon Danis through disqualification in his final fight.

Another fight involving Logan Paul and fan favorite Paddy Pimblett has been suggested. Paul unsuccessfully called for a shot against the scouser during Pimblett's ascent to fame under the UFC banner.
